Conference

The unveiling of the Lewis memorial in Poets’ Corner will be the culmination of a two-day conference in Westminster Abbey.

Proceedings will begin on the afternoon of Thursday 21st November. Professor Alister McGrath will give a lecture on Lewis’s apologetics, followed by Dr Malcolm Guite who will speak about Lewis’s fiction and poetry.

After a service of Choral Evensong, there will be a panel discussion of Lewis’s life and legacy, chaired by Dr Michael Ward. On the panel will be Michael Ramsden, Dr Jeanette Sears, Peter S Williams, and Dr Judith Wolfe.

On Friday 22nd November, there will be a Service of Thanksgiving with a distinguished guest preacher. During this service, the memorial to C.S. Lewis in Poets’ Corner will be unveiled by a guest of honour and blessed by the Dean, Dr John Hall.
